Silent House
Its the moment I enjoy the most ... the end of the day. I am sitting at our new dinning room table listening to the rain tap...tap...tap on the open chimney. The air conditioner is humming and the clicking of the keys...priceless.
So much has been going on since Hannah has been born...imagine that.
Paradise
It's summertime and of course we all start to think of the beach. Summers ago back in my youth I used to spend quiet a bit of time in the sun, at the beach or a pool. The best part about all that was the time to read, be still, reflect and of course...people watch.
However, nothing beats time in the caribbean.
Smell of Colonge
Last night we went out on our first date since Hannah was born. Yep dressed up, perfume, heels, and a babysitter. It was funny because while we were driving up to Charlotte I said, "This feels more like a date then any other date since we have been married."
Daniel agreed. As my dad said, "Maybe it's because it took more to make it happen, therefore, you appreciated it more." Either way we had a blast. We went out to eat at Firebirds in Charlotte and then went to see the movie "Up" in 3D. When we got home at 1 a.m. we both just smiled and said what a wonderful time we had. It was great to talk and laugh about other things than Hannah, even though we have enjoyed every moment.
Here is an updated pic of our beautiful girl and our date picture.
Just Add H2O
I am not one for a green thumb. Normally if I get a plant it dies within a few weeks or at the most a couple of months. Definitely don't rely on me to plant anything in the ground and have it survive and produce flowers, fruit or anything else.
However, since I have been off I have been watering my plants that hang on our wrap around porch. They have grown so much and are really looking great. As I was watering them today I was thinking about my Christian walk with the Lord.
It takes work to make our faith grow.
