Silent House

Its the moment I enjoy the most ... the end of the day.  I am sitting at our new dinning room table listening to the rain tap...tap...tap on the open chimney.  The air conditioner is humming and the clicking of the keys...priceless.

So much has been going on since Hannah has been born...imagine that.  But it has been wonderful things.  We have cancelled our cable.  Just the basic channels and we gave up the DVR.  Which really is an amazing invention.  However, it has been such a wonderful change/sacrifice.  A sacrifice that we don't miss at all.  We talk more...spend more time with Hannah...spend more time in the Word...and even spend more time reading.  It's really been a great change in the household.

It's actually what got us to looking at a dinning room table.  We wanted a place we can just sit and hang out.  So we got a counter height table and it fits us so well.  I feel like I brought a wonderful part of a coffee shop into our house.  Plus we have enjoyed family meals together now and even had a enough room, in our humble abode, to have the entire family over.  It has truly been a blessing.

I have made it through another HR boss and am now running the entire HR department at my company.  It has been a blast and a bit stressful.  But I am learning so much and growing so much and I am thankful.

I am soon approaching my 27th birthday and feeling a bit older.  I heard a question asked the other day..."At what age or experience did you feel like an adult?"  I still haven't had that experience yet.  Actually the first few days I took over the HR department at work I told my husband, "I feel like a 4 year old sitting in a grown up's chair playing office." Even Hannah has been a bit of "pinch me" to see if it is real experience.  I don't feel any different now that I am a Mom but just that I am a Mom.

So I hope to get back to writing on here again soon.  I have about 5 post ready just waiting to put them on paper.

PS - I am finally reading "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen.  This is my favorite movie and I happened to stumble into BAM on our date night last week and found a set of her novels for just $30.  Too fun! So, anyways, I just wanted to throw a hello out there and hope everyone is doing well.  I will post new pics of Hannah soon.  She is getting so big.  Just passed 3 months and is 14 lbs.

Shalom.
